KLINGON BATTLE CRUISER (Star Trek Original Series) Studio scale

Here are some pictures of my 1?305 Klingon Battlecruiser as seen in the original series of Star Trek. I air brushed it two tone Grey and Green, which indicated that’s how it was painted in the original series. I re enforced the neck boom with brass tubing, as well as the warp nacelles. I was gifted this by a friend, it was however a kit available from “Captain Cardboard”, of course it is no longer available.

All of the ships insignias were air brushed as well as the kit’s supplied decals were useless.

I have included pics of it’s construction, on display at my local Hobby Shop, on a table (complete with the background clutter) and several beauty shots.

Thanks!

That’s a huge hunk o’ resin Mark!

Now that TOMY is releasing their 1/350 diecast TOS D7, I’m hoping R2 will ‘borrow’ their molds and produce the styrene kit we’ve all been waiting on!

Beautifully done. You’ve really nailed the grey green color!

Very nicely built! What are the brand and specific colors that you used? They really nailed the look of the TV model. I have the ancient AMT kit in my stash and would love to paint it properly like you did whenever I get around to mine.
