Personally, I never built one of their kits nor have I heard of them. However here’s a thread that was started in the aircraft section, about the Kitech brand, maybe it could help: /forums/1057693/ShowPost.aspx
Kitech entered the scene with motorized toy model tanks that shared a common lower hull. that means if you bought the Abrams, Challenger, Merkava, T-72, etc. it had the same rubber band tracks, road wheels, lower hull and all.
The LAV shares a common lower hull and running gear with the Soviet BTR-70 kits.
The Propaganda Kompany of France makes an upgrade set for this kit. http://propaganda.kompany.free.fr/ Click on the “Transkit” link and then 1/48 to see the available updates.
I have built several of their 1/72 scale aircraft kits and frankly have found them somewhat lacking, and at times downright frustrating due to bad fit or mis-molded parts. As mentioned, their canopies leave something to be desired–and the cockpit details need a little coaxing to bring out detail. Overall, since I have bought most of them off ebay for 99cents, I can’t complain too much, but if you want to build a contest piece, this line of kits is definitely NOT the place to start.
