What will likely be my last entry to the GB is Kurt Sowa’s Kingtiger “222”

Comments and, more important, critiques always welcome. If you see something I missed… shout it out please.

Like your other entries Marc, this is absolutely superb. From the tools to the weathering, everything looks just right.

If I have one critique, it’s that you won’t be building anymore entries for the GB. LOL [:D] That’s our loss for sure!

It’s been a pleasure have watched your WIP’s and i thank you for the taking the time to post them all.

Another magnificent build rolls off your bench Marc! Definitely one to be proud off. How many contributions does this make to that particular GB?

Marc, a superb model. They don’t come any nicer than this. Great weathering and chipping too. The only thing I would have to look hard to critique would be that I would have dirtied up the wheel faces just a little bit more, but that’s just me.

A killer cat, that’s for sure. :slight_smile:

Doog, RB thanks guys. I am with you on that doog. Thats why I left the last track pins uncut so i can take them off and dust things up. Waiting to see the final color of the base.

Marc - It really does look great. I’ve come to expect that from ya! [;)] I’m impressed especially with the advancement in your soldering skills. Something I need to get off my butt and try.

As for any observations… I have 2.

  1. I couldn’t tell if you painted over the driver periscope or not. The best pic I had to form an opinion from was the 4th down and it looked yellow.

  2. I know from MSC that you added the fuel vent tubes (I think) from comments Wouter made. In my limited resources I can’t find a KT that has that feature on the left side. For my future build… is it supposed to be on both sides? Were they commonly missing? They look awesome though. A nifty detail that adds a lot to the build - like the direct sight on the turret roof. [Y]

I would have to look back to see if Wout said both sides or not. The instruction sheet with the PE set has info that said they were only there on tanks built after late '44. The sheet is a bit confusing on that area so it’s hard to tell if you are meant to add to both side or not. I will say that the Dragon kit the sections that are on the engine deck molded on both sides. But heaven knows… just cuz Dragon did it it don’t make it right. But anyway… that’s the reason I put 'em on both sides.
