Again outstanding work Bill. Nice to see a KingCobra, don’t see those much.
Didn’t realize that it was quite a bit larger than the AiraCobra. Thanks for breaking out the P-39 for comparison.

interesting aircraft, sweet build![8D][8D][8D]
I got the same kit, 1/48 MPM. Rather much flash on the sprues, but that’s not a real problem, is it?
Excuse for my perhaps poor judgement of your pictures, but is your MPM kit upgraded with some PE and resin, just like mine?
The € 5,- (approx $ 7,-) seemed a gooed price for such a large upgraded model. And being an MPM, the build should be fine, as your pictures show.
Will take some time for me to build this one. SO many nice kits in stock to build… and reirement still so far away… sib

And thanks for the tips about this particular kit!
Thanks ygmodeler, Steve-O, Chuck, nmayhew, svankreijl, and RemcoGrob !
Steve O - do you mean virtually? Knowing your locale, I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a real one nearby !
Chuck - I was thinking of using some of the spare detail parts from Eduard’s P-39, but it was a no-go. Seems there was little commomality between the two besides general appearance.
svankreijl - Parts like the gear legs and gun barrels did have a lot of flash, but the mold halves were aligned well. These items were round once the flash was cleaned. My kit came with a resin cockpit and vac canopy, but no PE. I added belts from an Eduard set.
Building these limited run kits can be good exercise for basic modeling skills that aren’t necessary for those “shake-the-box” kits. With care, they can look almost as good as the mainstream kits.
Thanks again !
Nice build Pix. Is the landing gear O.D. or interior green?
