I’m building hasegawa/mania’s KI-27 kit in 1/48, and I need some info on the a/c, i.e. What color should i paint the cockpit, which Model Master enamel color is closest to the overall IJA gray colr that early japanese planes were painted?
The only paint that I know of for the Nakajima grey/green interior was by Aeromaster, in the Warbird Acrylic series. AN1093 was the number. I say was, because Aeromaster Warbird paints are gone, so far as I know. If you have Tamiya paints, here is a mix for this color:
White 92%, X1-Black 3%, X5-Green 3%, X8-Lemon Yellow 2%.
If you go by the FS #'s 34255 seems to be agreed on as a match.
