I’ve recently purchased an 1/72 Italeri (Zvezda) Kamov Ka-29TB Helix, and a 1/72 Mil Mi-24 Hind-D… you know both are Russian helicopters… I’ve never builded any Russian Helicopter… so this is my question: what color must I use for painting the cockpit interior of the Ka-29TB?.. this Kit doesn’t have any fuselage interior detail… must I use Light Ghost Gray or this Russian interior Blue/Green?.. I want to make my Mi-24 like Peuvian Mi-25… I am Peruvian, but I don’t know anything about our Mi-25 (what a shame!)… so this is my question about that: what color must I use for cockpit and fuselage interior of this Mi-25 version?.. this Italeri kit haves a lot of fuselage interior detail… I’ve seen that these rocket launchers in the Italeri Mi-24 kit are not the same like the Peruvian Mi-25’s… were can I get more accurate rocket launchers?.. I hope you can answer my questions…
Hello Zeroenna,
Alologies for the late reply, but I haven’t been very much online lately.
From what I see on pics at for example, Airliners Net, lots of Russian choppers have this very light shade of green as cockpit colour. You also see it a lot inside (non russian) combat vehicles (tanks, armoured personnel carriers etc).
I don’t know the colour number, but I do know that Humbrol has it. If I remember correctly, the name of the colour is duck egg-green.
Hope this is of any help, good luck
Gertjan
Sorry I’m late too Z,
When in doubt, I would use Russian interrior green. I think that this is what they come from the factory with and it would be a real pain to repaint it differently. I am not familiar with the Peruvian launchers but would it be possible to modify the ones that came with the kit?
Now a double digit midget!
