I have been subscribing to FSM Magazine for a year or so now, great publication, so thought it was time to sya hello to the community. Firstly great magazine FSM…Secondly Hello.[Y]
I live in the UK. Modelling wise I am a relative newcomer to the hobby or rather someone who has returned after many a long year.
I enjoy making mainly aircraft, my favourite being the American B58, However, recently I have been trying to scratch build 1/32 Scale Auto’s and converting them for use on scalextric…We’ll see how that one goes.
Thank you already to those who have provided valuable information, I hope I might be able to contribute oneday at some level, mind you if I could build a model half as good as most I have seen aroound here i would be a very happy man.
Achieving excellent results is more practice & patience than natural born talent. If you follow the steps & techniques while experimenting a bit on your own each model you build will get better.
The main thing is to have fun, push your skills each build and mostly complete the model! Too many get bogged down striving for perfection that their projects never get finished!
Another is to start out with lower parts count models. Depending which area of interest you like to build look for kits under 50 parts and advance from there. This will build confidence without getting frustrated or tackling projects that linger on for months.
[snWcm] Howdy hi!! Welcome to the asylum. Great technical advice, tips, and techniques are found herein along with a bit of easy-going silliness!! Glad you’re here.
