After trying for some time now to beat the summer doldrums and a general modeling malaise, there is a glimmer of hope.
A fun project for a friend that is a Yankee nut whose favorite plane happens to be the B2. So I bring you, the not yet complete, “Bronx Bomber”.
Because he is making me a custom wood case for my home brew, I said I would build him B2. He asked if I could put a little Yankee logo on the wheel hub. [whistle] I still have to print the hat & bat and a few other customs decals.
I was by the local Barnes and Noble and looking through the modelling mags yesterday, and I saw a new 1/144 Me-262 with a kettengrad kit from Trumpeter. I immediately thought, HEY, a 1/144 Kettengrad, that’s excactly what Marc needs to pull one of his 1/144 planes or pose next to his 1/144 panzers! I even saw some other company selling PE for 1/144 kits - Crazy small!
I love the build Marc! Like so many other things, we sometimes need a reminder that this is supposed to be fun. Bo Sox logos on the side would be awesome!
I love sports rivalries. Here in the South, they don’t really get going good until football season starts but they do provide some year-round entertainment. When they stay friendly and fun, it helps to get me through until the next fall.
