Junkers Ju-87 Stuka

Hi, I plan on starting a 1/32 Revell Junkers Ju-87 Stuka but I’m having difficulty finding the right acrylic paint. I want to paint it like the Stuka used in the African front (kind of like a light brown-yellow). I have Tamiya Acrylic’s Desert Yellow but that’s way too light (better suited for modern armor like M1A2). I went to my LHS but was unable to find the right colour. If you know what colour I’m talking about could you plz tell me what company makes it and the name? Thanks! Oh, and I’m looking for flat acrylics!

When I use rattle cans, I mostly go for Tamiya. .and brushing paint I like polly scale acrylics, The upper camo on my BMKIV mossie was all polly scale, Will try and find other brands that may suit.

The desert camo is RLM 78 Hellblau in the undersides and RLM 79 Sandgelb in the upper, with RLM 80 Olivgrun blotches and RLM 21 Weiss for the fuselage band… I think that Model Master have this colors in acrylics, but these are for the German desert camo…

I think you’re describing the second version of RLM 79 called Sandbraun. Tamiya Desert yellow is pretty close to sandgelb, so you sound like you need the darker version. I think Gunze Sangyo number H66 is a match for this colour. Gunze are a very good acrylic paint.

Thanks guys! I found the right colour!
