Just about to close up the fuselage on my Ju-52, but wanted to photograph the nice interior. Not sure how much I will be able to see once fuselage top is in place. I bought the PE accessory kit, so those passenger seats, and most of the cockpit detail are from that set, and are not included in the basic kit. Keep in mind this is 1:144 scale, and the fuselage is only about four inches long!
I did not have passenger seat belts in place yet. After I added them I closed up the fuselage. I regret waiting to put the seat belts on until after I had the seats in. It would have been much easier to put the belts onto the seats before putting the seats in- a tip to anyone else building that model. BTW, this is the airliner version, and airliner PE set. They make both a military transport and a civil version of both the kit and the PE.
Looks pretty good Don. I went to the dentist today and I think you must have those same goggles he used to work on a filling on the back of one of my molars.
Sweet Don. I just picked up this get and the 144th Spitfire Mk IX duel combo. Don’t think I am going to go for the interior for the 52 but If I do I am thinking cut-away.
In one of the museums in Munich there is a JU52 on display that you can walk through. One of the amazing things I found was that there is a knob under each window, and when you pull it the windows go down…that air has to be much more refreshing than the canned stuff we get through the nozzles nowadays!!
