JS/IS -3 auxiliary fuel tanks -tracks -AM sets?

Hello, I’m gonna be building trumpeter’s JS-3m, and I need any info regarding the fuel line layout from the auxiliary fuel tanks. I’ve seen some of these models with the fuel lines connected in series from one another. And another question, are fruilmodel’s the only replacement tracks for this kit? And finally, are there any PE/AM sets for this model? [:D]

Aber does a really intensive set for the JS3. It is geared for the Tamiya kit, but you can most likely use it on the Trumpeter kit.

Eduard also makes a p/e set for the Tamiya and Trumpeter kits. AFAIK, Friul is the only company making AM tracks for the JS series. Jordi Rubio makes barrels and a company by the name of Armand Bayardi (look for Anubus as well) both make resin fuel barrels.

Here is the link to the Aber site. They have the PE instructions posted so you can decide for yourself whether or not they are worth the expense. The JS3 is set #35 035.

Thanks Rob and Erik, I’ll check them out.[:)][tup]

There is an excellent walkthrough of this in the Osprey modelling book on the IS heavy tank , by Nicola Cortese .

He explains just what you are talking about here .

ABER has a PE set for the JS III , I would guess that PART does as well .

Model kasten also makes a set of tracks for the IS 2/3 I believe they are they same .

I prefer fruil myself , but that is my personal opinion .

Thanks spector822002, I’ll check those out as well[:)]

Serious , check that book out , its about 12 bucks at amazon , very intensive on the IS series , I just got it myself a month ago ,… good stuff !
