Hello this is June Marshall, John Eaton’s daughter. I wanted to let you all know that he passed away peacefully yesterday after a valiant fight against cancer. He was surrounded with love by his family and grandchildren who adored him. He was our rock, and he was one of a kind. He expressed that he wanted to send you all a heartfelt goodbye message letting you know how much your friendship and community has meant to him over many years. His illness took over before he had the chance to write to you. So I wanted to just take the opportunity to tell you how much you all meant to him. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you would like to share stories and know about upcoming services which we hope to also share on zoom for his many friends me made around the world who shared his lifelong passion of RC and scale modeling.
This is indeed some very sad news and I’m so sorry for yours and the family’s loss June. Will be praying for you as well as the rest of the family in this troubling time.

June, I’m so sorry to hear of your fathers passing. Your father was not only a great model builder, but a friend to so many of us. Always offering words of encouragement. I pray that God covers your family with love and comfort.

I didn’t know him at a personal level, but his skills as a modeler and his willingness to pass on his knowledge to this community made us all better and enriched the experience of these forums. He will be missed.

This is very sad news and I am very sorry for your loss June. John will truly be missed. I never met him in person, but I felt like I knew him. He never had a discouraging word for anyone and was always up-beat. Eternal rest grant unto John O Lord.
June, thank you for letting us know about your dad’s passing. While I never met your dad, I did feel like I knew him (well, his modeling side) from our fairly frequent interactions over the years here. My condolences. Your dad will be missed.
This is very sad news, John was one of the mainstays of my forum interactions on a few sites. Always a kind word about my middling, very slow, work. I will miss him greatly.
I am so sorry for your loss. I always appreciated his comments on this site because he was always positive and you could just tell how much he loved this hobby. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.
