If any of you is looking for a quick project, then look no further! Tamiya’s P-51D in 1/48 has “perfect fit and simplicity” written on the box. Not even a drop of filler was used ln this one. Eduard wings in detail, but price and simplicity are the biggest advantages for this kit.
My kit represents ‘Petie 2nd,’ the aircraft of John C. Meyer. The blue nose gives this otherwise full nmf aircraft a splash of colour.

Great looking Mustang Sturmovik! Tamiya is my favorite manufacturer for that precise reason that you gave,“perfect fit & simplicity”

Great looking Mustang and you chose a solid kit to go with being a Tamiya.

Thanks! I wonder if their more recent toolings, such as the Bf 109G-6, Spitfire Mk.I and P-38, are as good as this Mustang? I’ve personally put the idea of getting those to one side because of the higher piece count than on their past kits.

Even the clear parts fitted nicely, something most kits struggle, to have nicely fitting transparencies.

I know for SURE that the 109G-6 and P-38 are BOTH nice kits. I’ve seen a lot of these kits built up and recommend either one of these for a stress free build.

That’s an awesome build. Always did love that color scheme.

I’ll try to get one, any of them. I read the P-38 is a large aircraft, and the Bf 109G-6 has those pesky magnets for interchangeable noses. Maybe I’ll go for the 38.

@Sturmovik That Mustang turned out real nice.
While I have not built any of them yet, I have all of the kits you mention in my stash. There are 3 different boxes of the P-38, which I have one each of, and I really am looking forward to building what looks to be the best Lightning kit ever produced.
