Jet engine models (GE J79)

Hi everyone!

I’ve got a brother-in-law who was an old Phantom Phixer. He used to work on their J79 engines and he just used to love them. Does anyone know of any aftermarket kits of complete modern jet engines? I know you can get aftermarket resin kits of the ME 262 engines but that’s not what I’m looking for. I’m looking for ANY modern U.S. jet engine kits (J79 preferably bot not an absolute necessity).

Don’t know about aftermarket J-79’s but, the Hasegawa 1/32 F-104J has a
fairly nice J-79 in the kit. It wouldn’t take much to make it really nice.

The Canadian company, Engines & Things has them. They have engines in 1/32, 1/48, and 1/72 scale. Great stuff![:D]

I know Fujimi’s 1/72 F-14 kits come with separate jet engines, including the carts used to move them. If you get the F-14D kit it comes with both the GE and the P&W engines! Might not be what your looking for, but I am sure there are more out there.
