I was just wondering if anyone has ever seen a Jeep Cherokee scale model? I have found Jeep Grand Cherokee but no Cherokee. Im thinking they dont exist but I thought I would see if any of you have ever seen one before.

I haven’t seen a pure Cherokee model, but the Tamiya Grand Cherokee could easily be made into a Cherokee with very little modification. In fact, most probably don’t even realize the differences, because there aren’t any, really, at least for the later models. It was all interior packaging and options that changed the designator. I’ve thought about trying Tamiya’s offering, but haven’t had the chance to pick one up yet.

Man, I have looked for one of those for about 7 years. I’ve talked to every hobby shop I know of, and I’ve spent hours on the internet and ebay searching for one. I had a 92 sport that I upgraded to be such a sweet truck. But, besides matchbox and hot wheels cars, the closest thing is the grand cherokee from Tamiya. I’m not sure quite how modifying that would yield a normal cheokee, given that, among other things, the whole body is the wrong size and shape for a normal cherokee…but I suppose if you can figure a way…
And hey, if you EVER find a model of a cherokee, big or small…let me know, I’ll be the “second” to buy one!

hey xcmbike, lindburg made a cherokee of a michigan state police car a few years back. i dont think it was the" grand" version, but i could be mistaken. i do know it was in the 1/20 scale though. you can still find them on ebay. give it a check. hope this helps.
I see Lindberg do a stock Grand Cherokee so it is not inconceivable that the police car is also the “Grand”.
Thanks guys. I have a 2000 Cherokee that I have turned into a sweet truck. I would love to make a replica. The GC would kinda suck to turn into a Cherokee. Im contemplating on messing with a match box car, it would look kinda cool, but I could never do as much detail. Ill let you know if I find anything kaalvin.
