Japanese WW2 interior paint colours

I’m currently building a 1/48 Nakajima Ki-27 “Nate” Japanese fighter.
I’ve more or less got to the stage of painting the cockpit and interior now, but I’m
not really sure what colour to paint it!

Many modelling and reference articles I’ve read have described the standard Japanese interior
colour as a type of metallic green. However I seem to remember hearing recently (can’t remember
where!) that more recent research indicates that the most common colour was a shade of grey?

To complicate things further, the instructions for the kit give the interior colour as “greyish green”,
which suggests a similar colour to US/UK “Interior Green”. And the 2004 Tamiya catalogue shows the interior
of their 1/32 Zero in this colour (a bluish-greyish-green, similar to but somewhat brighter than Interior Green)

So, what colour should I paint my “Nate” cockpit? Help would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry, I really should have used the search function first!
From the information I found by searching this forum, it seems
like Nakajima aircraft usually were painted in the light interior-green
colour - “Bamboo Green”.
The metallic green colour was called “aotake” and was used as a primer,
and was painted over in many aircraft.

So Bamboo Green it is then - or whatever colour in my paint box matches it closely
enough
