Japanese Group Build XIV (2025)

So, since I did finish the build of Hasegawa’s F1M2, “Pete”, I have now started on another Hasegawa kit, a Nakajima, Ki-44II, Koh, Army Type 2 Fighter, Allied Reporting Name, “Tojo”.

This is a MUCH older kit than the previous build, (Pete) and it is lacking in a lot of the detail that made the “Pete” such a great kit. However, this is a REALLY nice little model and it fits together very well. I am really enjoying this kit and I’ll probably have to get another one at some point…

Anyway, I am going to try and use the kits decals. They look to be in decent shape, but I am not sure how they will behave with the usual setting solutions. Plus, they seem thick.

Markings are for a machine from 2nd Chutai, 85th Hiko-Sentai and flown by Capt. Wakamatsu Yukiyoshi, Jogai Airfield China 1943.

Build is moving faster than I had anticipated and I am getting close to throwing paint at her. More pictures to follow soon!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Cheers, Freddie from Palm Beach Gardens!
