Your choice of badges!

Sign me up… I’ll figure out my subject later

Sure SP, you got it!

Count me in. I might be doing an Arii Ki-44 if I can ever find some AM decals at a decent price. If not that, then more than likely a Tamiya A6M of some variety. I’ll let you know before the new year hopefully.

Cliff, I’ll do another Tamiya 1/72 Nanzan, as I promised it some time back. Then I can call that little idea complete, as they only built one of them and repainted it once !

I might do a late ‘George’ too, but don’t quote me on that until I get through the Nanzan. That would give me one each of the low wing, and mid wing variants.

Cheers

Tony

Thanks guys, got you both down.

Ajd3530 I assume both of those are 1/48th?

Here i am [::DD0]

For now my fujimi Tenzan 1/72 from previous part two… for now [:D]

Please sign me up with a 1/48 Hasegawa George.

You got it guys!

And thanks!

Ok, I’m in. Been a while since I’ve been in a GB. Needs some major inspiration, been a lean modelling year. I’ll have to decide later what to build.

Gamera, can you put be down for a Type 2 Ka-Mi Amphibious Tank in 1/35 by Dragon

Pontoon or no pontoon is the question for the Ka-Mi. It’s such a weird looking vehicle I’m thinking “with”. Thoughts?

Hey Waikong, great to have you, I’ll put you down as a TBA.

Jibber: Yeah, the pontoons are awesome, I’ve got one and thinking about trying to modify some figures to show the crew attaching the things to the tank on a beach. I don’t have any good photos so I’m not sure how it was done other than a lot of sweat and hard work.

How was the kit, looks straight forward. I wonder if they didn’t drive into it?

Looks like a really nice kit in the box. Constructor built one a year or so ago.

I’d assume the pontoons weren’t too heavy since they were just big floats. I’d guess most of the crew manhandled them into position while one guy put the bolts in.

The pontoons were held in place by mechanical claw assemblies, that way the could be dropped once the tank was ashore and not be hindered by them. Actually a very clever method for approaching the problem of how to make a tank swim. The US had a similar kit for the Sherman by the end of the war.

Thanks for the correction SP, I should have checked the kit before I posted- those claw clamps are very distinctive.

Gamera,

Against my better judgement go ahead and sign me up! I think it may be a Hasegawa A6M5 zero 1/48
