Jackpot!

Well I did not win the lottery or anything but…

I got a Revell B25J 1:48 scale. No biggie its really just to practice on while trying to build something ‘worthy’.

When I opened the box I had to look twice. There was two 2! sets of the clear parts in there!

Woot practice is in session!

Ever open a model and have an ‘extra’ set of parts in there?

Heck I have ordered two copies of a model before just to have back up parts / decals.

Nice acquisition, never had an error go my way like that.

If its the newer boxing “Jaunty Jo” it comes with two options for the nose glazing. One has openings for the flexible .50 and one fixed foward firing .50. On the other set of clear parts, the nose glazing has openings for the flexible .50 and 4 fixed .50’s, so you can make one of the field modified strafers. Why they packaged two completly sets of clears instead of just molding the 2nd nose glazing on with the rest of the clears, there’s no telling.

Ah! that explains it!

and here I thought I was lucky! LOL

It was probably easier to slightly modify the molds for the second version than to retool the entire die.

Thanks

I have had the treat of bonus stuff. One kit had a metal barrel and another had resin ejector seats. A prixe within a prize.
