Iwata Revolution-CR vs. Eclipse HP-CS

Greetings,

I wondered if anyone out there is familiar with both/either of these airbrushes, and how they compare to one another for model building. Thanks!

I have both, use both. They compare really well in use but the Eclipse (mine has the .3mm nozzle) sprays a finer line and uses less paint. Takes a bit longer to clean also. Maybe an additional minute or two.

As a rule I use the CR 90% of the time and the CS only when I need to do smaller stuff. Not that often.

Thanks! I actually just now managed to pick up a slightly-used Eclipse HP-CS on eBay for a great price, to go with the Revolution -CR I already have–hopefully I’ll have the time to use them soon.

I have both, but I find I use the eclipse more than the revolution. When I paint, I try to do it in as few sessions as possible. So I’ll build a lot of sub-assemblies and spray them and any stray parts all one color. And since the eclipse has a larger cup, it’s just easier to use that.

My CR and CS have identical paint cups.
