Iwata lotta watta......

Anyone having trouble with their airbrush (Iwata or others) “spitting” moisture out randomly? I don’t have an inline moisture trap (yet…looking tomorrow!)Wondering if all of this crappy, humid monsoon season has anything to do with it? Never had this trouble before, with any airbrush.

Mate, if you are airbrushing in conditions like a “humid monsoon season” you definately need a moisture filter. I think you are spot on in pinpointing your problem. By the way, I clicked on the link in your post, very nice models.

Cheers…Snowy

[#ditto] You nailed your own problem. Any time air is compressed the moisture in it is squeezed out. That moisture randomly gets picked up and spit out in the manner you are seeing. A moisture trap will almost certainly solve the problem.

Thanks guyz…that’s what I suspected! Snowy, glad you liked my website…seriously overdue for an update, though!!!

i don’t have a moistrue trap, i run a piston type 33psi and i never had ANY moisture run down the 10’ line.

Ditto…those are some fine looking warbirds. Truly inspiring work!

You may live in a dry climate where the humidity in the air is usually low, or you may just be lucky. I drain my tank after each use and there are usually a couple of ounces of water that have collected in it.

I agree with that! Gives me some good ideas for my Corsair for when I get back on it.

I live in Vancouver, Canada, where it rains a hell of a lot more than anywhere else

and really really nice planes
