I remember when I was a kid in the 70’s, my dad and uncle would sit at the kitchen table drinking their Miller, peeling off the X label on the top of the bottle, putting a quarter under it and flipping it up to stick it on the ceiling. Good times.
Beautifully executed build of my favorite type of aircraft. I remember when there was a Miller Squadron and actually got to see them once back when we had a thing called the Calbowl. They would fly in formation spelling out ITS MILLERTIME across the sky for miles. It was truly a sight to behold. I have quite a number of these kits in my stash just waiting for the day that I build the whole squadron.
Thank you gentlemen. Not my brew of choice either but this bird will be on a display base with labels from an original bottle from the 70’s on the back. I though of doing an enclosed case with the X label stuck to the top like I was speaking of and the pilot laying flat on the ground knocked out by the giant quarter used to stick it to the roof next to him. [:D] This will be going to my dad when he comes out to visit this month. On the canopy, I’m sure it had to be noticed, the front canopy is off. Looked really bad sitting so high over the middle so I tried to thin it. Looks like poop so I have a vac canopy on order to fix the problem. Thanks again, just wish I could find a kit of the NEW Texan.
nice build, i have that same a-t6 in my stash and was thinking of building withh different markings, but after seeing yours i think i will go ahead with the “miller time”. the at-6 is my favorite plane and I plane to build several, thanks for the pics.heres one
