Its Finished! Turning a 1989 Batmobile into a Lamborghini Concept car

The green beast is done!

First a taster so you can see what I’m talking about:

Basically it started its life as an '89 Batmobile kit, and after a LOT of chopping, filling and sanding, has become a Lamborghini Pipistrello (Italian for Bat) concept car.

Here is another angle before I run through the modifications I made:

On the exterior:

  • The wheels are by Joes wheels

  • the brakes are from an FXX kit

  • Headlights from a Mercedes AMG GT (the covers are scratchbuilt)

  • Rearview mirrors are from a Corolla kit but with modifications

  • the front grille is from a '58 Corvette

  • Colour is Splashpaints Verde Ermes (which is a Lamborghini colour).

  • the exhaust is scratchbuilt from metal tubes

  • Lambo badges us ZoomOn metal decals

Here is a closer view of the interior

I could not really use the kit seats and steering wheel because the the scale would have made the whole car look MASSIVE.

  • Racing harnesses by Eduard

  • Seats are by Spotmodel

  • metal switches are by Detail Master

  • Steering wheel is from lord knows where. Probably something from the 60’s I’d say. Was in the parts bin.

  • Colour is Dark Tan interior paint by Splashpaints.

Obviously lots of other modifications - made it a convertible, got rid of the jet engine intake, smoothed out the sides, cut back the windscreen, covered over the gun pods and one of the fuel tanks etc.

Here are some more pictures - hope you like it! Appreciate any comments.

I was following along this build and it turned out spectacularly! Well done my friend. That is totally believable as a retro and futuristic at the same time performance car. Great choice on the green, just doubles down on the fun. The amount of surgery you performed on this build is worth noting. Interior came out really nice. I want to drive it!

hey, it came out better than i’d hoped. it gives me a Morgan vibe and the green metallic is fabulous

Cool concept and great execution!

OhimiGawd!!

You absolutely Blew it Up! And the Color choice, Awesome!!
