A month are so ago there was a thread about sherman’s in Italy. There was a picture of a sherman in a three color camo. {OD, tan, and a dark blue.}. I think it was part of a Scotts guard{?}. I’m about to start painting a sherman of this from memory.[%-)] If any body has a picture and/or info on the camo and markings of this would be a great help.
That’s a different scheme for sure. Didn’t the U.S. ones have a camo for Italy?
I think some US Shermans in Italy did have a 2 tone camo scheme. Tamiya’s painting instructions for their M4 has an OD and buff scheme for C Company, 756th Tank Battalion, 5th Army, Italy, February 1944. That’s how I did my Sherman a year or so ago using the kit markings and painting instructions. Here’s a pic
Yes Peridexion, thats the picture! I was going to try painting from memory. Now I don’t have to.
ridleusmc: I have a Tamiya Early M-4 I’m going to try the camo like yours.
Thanks for the help. I’ll post pictures when done. [:D]
