Has anyone built Italeris H111 because I’m wanting to build it, and I want know what the details are like? Raised or reccesed panel lines? Good interior detail? is their any option for an open bomb bay?

It has raised pannel lines and very little in the way of cockpit detail. I would buy the new Hasegawa He-111. Its much better with a full bomb bay, recessed lines, and a nicly detailed cockpit.
The new Hasegawa 1/72 releases of the He-111-6 & P are state of the art kits. Even includes a PE fret for seat belts & other details. Option for an open bomb bay with great detail. Makes all other 1/72 kits of the He-111 obsolete.

The only reason I ask is because it is a much cheaper option then Hasegawas new H111! Come to think about it I’ve seen one made by Revell has anyone made this one?
Whats the detail like on this model Raised or reccesed panel lines? cockpit or bomb bay detail?
I’m asking these questions because I’m on a tight budget and the Hasegawa kit is expensive, whereas the others are about a third of the price!
stuka_69…I have two of the He-111s by Italeri and am building my Hasegawa He 111H-6 now. The Hasegawa kit is far superior to the Italeri oldie in many ways…not to mention recessed verses raised details on the Italeri kits. Wheel wells, cockpit, landing gear, decals, clear parts…all much better on Hasegawa’s He 111. I agree the price is high but Squadron.com has the Hasegawa He 111H-6 (not the new P version) on sale this month for only $19.99!! At that price your crazy not to go with the Hasegawa offering in my humble opinion!
Its on sale in their monthly supplement…I believe it should be marked that way on their website as well. If not, just call and tell them you saw the sale price in the December supplement.
Hope that helps!

Cheers for that info, I’m going to scope it out in minute! Just to add on again has any one made revells H111 as I have also seen that at my LHS, and whats it like?
OK, I’m holding the Revell one right now.
It is molded in dark green plsstic with raised pannel lines. the raised lines look OK, but dissappear with the sanding and filling needed. The clear parts are tipical Revell. They are distroted and heavily moulded. The cockpit has very little detail and comes with four figures. One turret, a bombadeer, a piliot and a lower turret. There are weapons options for a H-6 and an H-4. The flaps and elevators have recessed lines, but these are very heavy and probably shold be filled.
And here’s a good review site:

Sounds worse than Italeris H111 !
Yeah… it haves raised panel lines and rivets… a very little detail in cockpit and nothing about fuselage interior or landing gear wells, and one or two pieces have a bad fit, specially wings… and the instruction sheet may be wrong in the landing gear assembly part…there are better kits than the Italeri He-111H-6… but I’ve built two of them… it’s a little difficult to get another He-111H-6, but this is pretty good for beginners…
Thanks for the info I think I’m going to try italeri firstas a beginners kit and then move onto Hasegawas awsome kit
