This is my other most recent completion, that I finished in December. This is Italeri’s 1/35 LAV-AD. I had to modify this kit quite a bit as Italeri had based their kit off of one of the prototypes and was missing many details that appears on the production vehicles. I modified or added what needed to be done, replaced the kit wheels with some resin one from TAC Scale, and added stowage from various sources. Crew figures are from the Miniart USMC Tank Crew set. I modeled this based on a few photos that I found of these vehicles during OIF and the drive to Bagdhad.

These Miniart figures are excellent for injection plastic, and really enhance any kit that they are added to.

and of course, my 1/35 LAV family photo, these have been built over the past 35 years…

I’ve got one of those in my stash…. long with the LAV-M. Don’t know when I’ll get to them though. But I’ll add them to family photo as they are completed.

For all the LAV I’ve been around, I’m not certain I ever saw a LAV-M in person :slight_smile:
