Howdy all,
I am looking for an island to convert the Trumpter Hornet into the Enterprise. I saw a picture of a resin island on a website somewhere that someone used for this purpose. The island was made by Nautilus(I think). I have been searching but have been unable to come across the website where I saw it and I have been equally unsucessful in finding it through any distributor, hobby shops etc. Can any one help me or send in in the right direction? I have the Hornet and am anxious to start on it but this little matter has been holding me up. Any help from any one would be most appreciated!

You’re correct, it is Nautilus Models that makes the conversion kit.

Nautilus Models makes the resin island to convert Hornet into Yorktown or Enterprise, but it comes at a steep price. I’m going to order drawings from Floating Drydock and try to scratchbuild the island; I just can’t justify paying that price to convert my Hornet into Yorktown.
When you consider what I paid for a White Ensign Ultimate set, the perforated catwalks, the aircraft interiors, and the hangar deck detail set, and all the aircraft it’s just one more item that’s added to the list.
