Is this available as a kit?

I came to work this morning and found a Breguet Atlantique parked on the L-3 end of the tarmac. It’s a German machine numbered 61+06. Is there a kit available of this? And in what scale? Thanks for your help in advance!!

I never know what I’m going to see here. One weekend I saw a pair of E-3s, last weekend it was an NKC-135E. I see Rivet Joints all the time here. Right now there are three on the ramp!!

Can I come live with you?[:)] pretty please?[:D][:D]

Sure why not, I’ve got a little room in the back yard!!

Squadron shows one by Revell of Germany in 1/72 for $25.

Did you ever get the Mustang instructions?

Yep, the Revell kit is nearly new, as it was only released in 2003. It’s supposed to be really good.

Thanks guys. I searched Squadron but they didn’t show anything. Thanks Wayne, I got them and they were exactly what I needed. Would’ve tried to e-mail you, but my stupid computer doesn’t like to do e-mails.

Does anyone know if this has German Naval markings?

Scot, come down on any weekend and I’ll show you the sights around the airport. Nothing wrong with hanging around an airport is there? I’ll guarantee you’ll see at least the Rivet Joints. Have to be careful getting pics though as the security guards here are really anal about those kinda things. If you’ve got a decent telephoto, I’ll show you how to get pics without them being any wiser. They’re parked about a quarter mile from the FBO. I get here about 7 AM and I leave here at about 6 PM.

If you check out the back cover of this month’s Scale Avitation Modeler, there is an advertisement for this very kit. I belive it has “Marine” (german navy) markings. I am not sure about the title of the mag. I know it’s the one printed in the UK. I’ll check my copy when I get home tonight.

If I remember right Heller has a kit of this aircraft in either 1/100 or 1/72 scale. It is not currently in production but should be fairly easy to find. The Revell release may be the old Heller kit in one of those re-package agreements. Let us know what the Revell kit looks like. Thats a neat airplane (aren’t they all)? rangerj

It is Revell (AG) kit #4384 in 1/72, this is a new tooling, not a rebox of the old Heller kit. Roll Models has it, as does Squadron. The kit comes with decals for the French Navy, Dutch Navy and German Navy although a review I read said some modifications were needed to be truly accurate in the Dutch Navy option. I bought it about a month ago, and will be starting it soon…it is a big plane, even in 1/72. The scribing is recessed, and looks very detailed. I just have to decide which version to build!

Kevin, since I’m from your neck of the woods originally, I’m going nuts trying to figure out what airport you’re working at. I’m guessing the nearest large field to Sulphur Springs would be the old Garland Airport and next would be Love Field. And, I don’t even know if NAS Dallas is still in existance, although I’m sure there’s got to be at least a civil field on the site now. Where are you seeing all these transient military A/C in NE Texas? It’s one thing I really miss about Houston – we had Ellington Field there, which had not only the ANG F-16 Squadron, but the Army Guard Cobra unit, and on top of that, NASA’s T-38s, Vomit Comet, Gulfstream Shuttle Simulator, WB-57Fs, Pregnant Guppie, and the ANG F-101 and F-102 in pickled condition (painted all over in yellow chromate for a future restoration) were out there when I left. It’s even the place where N. Armstrong had his famous crash in the Flying Bedstead. The most interesting thing I’ve seen here is a C-130 PAVE WHATEVER. There’s simply too much commercial traffic in this corredor for military aviation of the high-performance variety. I envy you guys out near Mojave. Wouldn’t want to live there, mind you, but you can’t beat the bird watching anywhere on the planet.

Just for intrest, Mach 2 also makes an Atlantic.

They market it as 1/72, but looking at the box size, I highly doubt its that big. I think it also represents and earlier variant of Atlantic while the Revell Germany kit represents a moer up to date version.

[#ditto] It’s really a very good kit and does come with the German Marine markings. I wouldn’t think twice about buying this one if I were you[8D].

The Revell-Germany kit is a pretty decent retooling. The Kreigesmarine bird does require a few mods, but they’re simple enough. If you want to build this one,I highly recommend it.
