I talked to my wife again about getting into building models. I had purchased the Revell 1/32 X-1, but she said that it was “too complicated” for her. How much simpler can you get? This thing only has about 50 pieces to it! I even said that I would do the painting. Lost cause, I guess.
Chris, take all of our advice. Buy her some kits and be happy. She’s a rare find.
Yea I think I’ll keep her around. She’s putting them together like mad all of a sudden. She allready finished the amphibious jeep I got Fri. did a pretty good job and dived right into the halftrack. I think I may get her an abram to do while I buiild the leopard i picked up, from the looks of that it’s going be quite a kit to do, can’t wait.
I think, that the best thing that you could do, is after you finish these models, she will be begging to go to the hobby shop, and you go ahead and take her along-let her pick her own champion, instead of us (modelers who are currently attached by the hip to the hobby) who are about anywhere from 1 to 10000 miles away. Get a MAUS though for yourself if she chooses an american heavy tank
