Is there a decent acrylic equivalent to Bronze Green?

Hey guys,

I’m just doing a little pre-planning for my next build, a Bell X-1 and the cockpit color is listed as Bronze Green. With the exception of some old humbrol color, is there another bronze green on the market? If not, what would be the best way to replicate it?

Thanks,

Fred

I’m not sure if its the right shade for your purpose, but from Vallejo there is in their ModelColor line a Bronze Green (897) and from their ModelAir line Black Green (21), both of which are equivalent to RLM 70.

Fred, according to this great paint chart Tamiya has an equivalent, and you can cross referance to other brands, it’s a great tool. HTH![Y]

Sim, no linky! Do you mean the Ultimate Model Paint Conversion Chart?

Hey Bill, that a new one to me! [Y][bgr]

Then I’m doubly glad I posted it! [H]

That’s a new chart to me, also.

It looks like the most readily available might be XF-11, which I might have somewhere in my carousel.

Thanks, guys [H]
