Is it worth saving?

I have an old Paasche VL Double action airbrush that I loaned to someone years ago, He ran some auto toudh up paint through it and didnt clean it when he finished so the needle is virtually welded in place, can it be saved, or should I just replace it?

Drop some lacquer thinner into it to soak or let the whole thing soak in a jar of the stuff overnight. If you can get your hands on some Mythelene Chloride it will break it free for sure but this stuff is dangerous.

Thanks, I’ll give the thinner a shot and see what happens.

Just to add to Swanny’s comments:
Methylene chloride is still one of the main ingredients in most paint removers used for refinishing wood products. The other is methanol, and together they are a potent combination. If the lacquer thinner doesn’t work for you, try the paint remover. Make sure you do it outside, and be sure to remove any plastic fittings, rubber gaskets or O-rings, or anything similar you don’t want dissolved. Wear some rubber gloves and good eye protection, too.

Lacquer Thinner did the trick, Mabey I’ll get this thing back in working order now.
Thanks!
