I know that sometimes it must seem like I’ve dropped off the planet…my apologies. I’d like to present to you the Tamiya JS-II that I recently completed. This was done as a commission piece with the client providing what seemed like every aftermarket item available for me to work with. It made for an interesting project; I would like to share this with you. I hope you enjoy it.
I must say your photography is top-notch, for it’s so real looking. I love that fact that you hand-painted the ID lines with some drip added. I really love the tracks and the dirty look you applied. Also, knowing that these got in near the end of the war, you didn’t destroy the vehicle like so many modelers when they weather their Russian vehicles.
Simply stunning work Rick. I’m sure your custome will be pleased with the result.
Except for the plain background, one could be forgiven for thinking that it’s the real thing. The little touches, like the toolbox with rags hanging out, the broken headlight with the stalks for the filament are amazing.
Work like this takes time, so it’s not surprising that you don’t visit here that often, but when you do, it’s usually a jaw-dropping “WOW” event. [bow]
Rick this is just phenomenal!! You my friend are a world class modeler and a genuine humble all around nice guy at the same time! I can’t wait to catch up on the 19th!
One of the finest armor builds I’ve ever seen in 35th scale, or any scale for that matter. It is a real gift to be able to make plastic look like steel…
Gorgeous, Rick! Nothing I can add that hasn’t been said-you deserve all the accolades! [bow]
And ditto on the great phtography–Adam’s been busting my chops to come up to your standard. Those backgrounds are the stuff, for sure! It’ll be a learning experience for me, I’m sure, before I get shots this good!
Very nice job,the wathering of the tracks and wheels is fantastic, and i love the twisted fenders, and the details like the log and the rope really bring it to life.Overall a mean looking beast.
