Is 0.3mm Nozzle Airbrush OK for detailing models?

Ok so bid on an airbrush, but didn’t think i would actually win it. Meanwhile i had my eye on a 0.2mm nozzle airbrush and was about to purchase it when i realized i had actually won the auction for the 0.3mm brush.

So will the 0.3mm nozzle airbrush be ok for fine model detailing?

yes, depending on make & model, the paint being used, how it’s thinned, etc etc etc.

0.2mm sets are designed more for graphic designers putting tiny amounts

I have an Iwata CS, & found it twitchy with a 0.3mm headset, (needle, nozzle, & everything) & the Vallejo I was using.

I switched to a 0.5mm headset (ok I broke the 0.3mm, d’oh) & found the 0.5mm set less twitchy, (or I could be getting better) & I used it to do a NATO 3 tone on my HB AAV with EEAK completely freehand.
