what kits are a good representation of Iraqi Sams? i have built the trumpeter SA-2 launcher already, but am looking for a tracked vehicle. maybe even a ZSU. thanks!
They had the ZSU-23 and I believe they also had the SA-6. I can’t think of what other tracked SAM vehicles the Iraqi’s had. The information should still be on fas.org. HTH.
They also had a home grown SAM. It was SA-2’s mounted on Iveco Trucks or Ural 4320s. Two missles to a truck, pretty strange looking. I don’t have any pics, but I personally saw these located around Baghdad. We destroyed a bunch that had been abandoned by the crews just south of Baghdad in April 2003.
They also had many towed and ground mounted AAA pieces such as below.

Dragon did the Shilka ZSU 23-4 (DN3521) re-released by Shanghai Dragon and the 1/35 Scale SA-9 Gaskin (DML3515). Eastern Express do the towed ZU 23-2 with the GAZ-66 truck (35132). 5 Star models make a resin SA-6 Gainful http://www.jadar.com.pl/jadar-group/5star/35004/page_01.htm and Trumpeter are supposed to be releasing the same kit. 5 Star also make the SA-4 Ganef http://www.jadar.com.pl/jadar-group/5star/5star-a.htm
