IPMS

I finanally joined IPMS. For all these years I thought it was a grumpy womens support group. Boy, this internet is edjamacatiomal!!![:D]

What exactly is that anyway.

Sorry guys , it just struck me when I was looking at the IPMS site that the letters reminded me of my x-wifes favorite t-shirt"Ya I got pms–What the #^%* you gonna do about it" . After that hot topic about hating german models I was just trying to lighten things up!!![:o)] By the way it’s International Plastic Modelers Society. Poor attempt at humor(cracked myself up though)

Well I know a lady that has in her signature “I’m low on estrogen and I have a gun any questions?”

LOl, thats good![:D][(-D][(-D]

Take it easy guys, we just went through something regarding another post that we don’t want to repeat. I’m sure IPMS is a fine club for those who wish to participate in it.

Though it mean " I Pee MySelf ". Seriously, I have judged at the Seattle IPMS Spring Contest for about the last 6-7 years. Never Joined though. Wasn’t the money (dues). More the hassle of trying to keep some Saturdays for the meetings. One nice thing about on-line modeling forums like FSM, Missing-Lynx, LEM is that one can look them over at one’s leisure.

I joined my local chapter a few years ago and enjoy the monthly meetings and the opportunities to talk with other armor builders in the city. I thought about joining the national club but didn’t see the benefit to national membership. The local chapter is fun for me!

Absolutley, it’s a great club. No disrespect meant to the organization. Like I said, the letters just clicked on a light bulb from a galaxy long ago!! At least I’m not bitter.[yuck]

Sorry, I didn’t mean any disrespect, just a lame attempt at humor. Just ignore me.

I liked it!!! Of course I’m kinda warped. I was responding to crockets warning.

Joining a local IPMS club and joining the IPMS are two different things. I was a member of the Patriot IPMS chapter for 3 years while stationed in Massachusetts but was not a member of IPMS. I was also a member, more like a guest, of the Richmond, VA chapter while I was at Ft. Lee at school. I wasn’t an IPMS member then either.

I am a member of IPMS now and also a member of the local chapter in Louisville, KY. Two different enties. I easily could be an IPMS member but not be in a local chapter and vice versa.

im in the niagara frontier chapter, rated best in the nation once again baby! yeah its cool, we meet on the third monday of every month. we run a kids class for model building once a year, set up car pools between members going to comps. and we run our own annual show, buffcon, comin up in april. its awesome, and a pretty large show i might add.

yea, there are dues, but ours are like $10 a year for adults n $5 a year for juniors. plus u can get a name tag.

Sounds cool!! The closest one to me is 60 miles away. I’d love to get a local club going.
