This year’s IPMS San Diego Event video is finally here. Overall it was a good show with a wide variety of entries on display.
Thanks for posting that video Ranger Chris. It looked like a pretty good turnout. About how many entries were there? I saw some familiar models that were at the Best of the West in LV a few weeks ago.
Dont have the numbers in front of me, but it was up a couple percent year/year
Great video. My old club.
OK, now that I am home and can look at the numbers there were a total of 371 models entered into the contest this year, a 3% increase over 2024. There were also over 80 participants entered. So indeed it was a good turnout.
Thank you for checking the numbers Ranger Chris. Your video gave an impression that is was at least as large as Best of the West.
The sci-fi spread looked better than BoW.
Yeah, it was one of the bigger growth categories, even with presplitting it this year.
BoW this year was thin on Star Trek kits, which usually has good representation at contests.
Yes, I am also glad that sci-fi is getting bigger and better all the time. Those prop replica guys are just nuts!
Whoever built this awesome diorama
is a traveler. I just saw this in May in Houston, Texas.
It made such an impression on me that I took 3 photos of it.
Yeah, seen it at a couple different shows. Is impressive, even more so with how many miles it has traveled around and still together.
