Hey, y’all:
I’ve been reading FSM for twenty years (modeling for more than 40 years), and decided I’d check out the website. Wife and I lived in the South (North Carolina) when FSM started publishing; now we live in Wisconsin. I model mostly U.S. 8th Army Air Force heavy bombers and fighters, although I am about to return to WWI biplanes, I think. I still have some I built in the 1970’s (the old Revell kits). Nice to “see” y’all.
Welcome to FSM chekcmateking02. Good to have another experienced modeller come and join us here.
Enjoy the forums.
Glad to have you in the community Checkmate
Welcome checkmateking02,
Glad to have you here in the forums!
Glad to have you here, as soon as I began reading your post I knew you were southern…from Georgia here… hows the weather up yonder?
Hello, Checkmate ! Glad to see another aircraft modeller “under the wing” of the enormous FSM forum !
Hiya Checkmateking02. Good to have another aircraft guy on board. Would that be “Checkmateking 02, this is White Rook, over”[:D][:D][:D]
I have all the episodes on tape [:D][:D][:D][8D][8D][8D]
Thanks for the welcome.
Actually, Monsterarmor, I was born and raised in Wisconsin, but lived in Georgia (Gwinnett County) before NC, then also a year in Tyler, Texas. The first thing I picked up in the South was “y’all.” I thought it sounded better than “youse guys” so I kept it. And, yes, Keyworth–I borrowed the “checkmateking02” from Combat!. It was a favorite show, and when I used to paint WWII 1/35 soldiers, the guy with the Thompson always got a camouflaged helmet like “whiterook” had. I’ve got tapes of all the episodes, too, from a run on “the Action Channel.” Even my two daughters like it.
Welcome to the forum. Enjoy your stay and hopefully you have some pictures to share!!! We LIKE pictures!!

Murray:
Thanks. And if I knew how to post pictures, I might even do that. Plastic usually gives me no problems. Computers do!
Hope I am not to late to welcome you here Checkmateking02. Although I have been here in the forum for about 3 months now, I am not as experienced as you in modeling. So, keep on posting and I maybe able to learn something from you.
