I was wondering this myself. I would think they might raise the number of points required as we move forward. I like the idea of rewarding us, but don’t want that if it risks them losing their shirts. LOL…
I think since the gift cards are for the trains website, maybe they have a lot of extra inventory and this is a way for them to get it off their shoulders? They are not giving us Amazon/visa gift cards or anything (which is good). I am just very thankful for this feature, especially since I have very few modeling supplies!
Knowing me, if I earn one…when I get there I’ll be ordering more than the gift card amount anyways haha

I’m not sure how long the program will run either, they are doing to same thing in the forum on trains.com. That’s a lot of product going out. The post I read on there about the program says it is to increase.

I have an open one out on Facebook right now and it’s working. It depends on how that person signed up for the Forum. Did they use the link and sign up through that? Expired link? Did they finish filling out the form and join? Could be a few reasons why it wouldn’t have pinged the promoter badge, but it is working.
I created the link on the dashboard and texted it and they joined immediately. My numbers did jump this morning so maybe it just takes time? No worries…very thankful for the motivation!
They had joined using the link. I was more looking for the badge. The points are coming naturally just from me jibber jabbering and viewing all these amazing models being posted.
DM me who it is. The badge query is run daily, bestowed for members who meet certain conditions and revoked for those who don’t. For instance, with the promoter badge, one of those conditions is neither the inviter or invitee has been silenced. If either are, the badge goes away. Not saying that’s the cause, but it could be. Also, this really should be in the feedback and help thread category so as not to hijack this thread.

@fxsti03-42 did you get some kind of notification or email that said it was lost? I haven’t gotten any kind of notification of shipping or transit etc. last I got was an order confirmation email.
You get an email from Trains.com that tells you when it’s shipped and has the tracking number. I tracked it and then told the USPS site to send me notifications. I got the notification that the address was insufficient. (which was the same address I had my previous order shipped to with no issues)…
