Introducing myself:

Hi all.

I’m new to scale modelling I look for tips and hints from the pro’s just need tips and advice really maybe I am being over ambitious of creating a dockland scene out doors using 1/76 railway and 1/72 tanks I kinda drew up a plan of what I can do but I would need real advice as is could be a project go horribly wrong.

Welcome @Daniel290 :coffee:

There are kits of tanks and rail and (I think) dock side in those scales. I’d it’s totally doable. For tips and hints along the way you’ve come to the right place. :face_with_monocle:

To try this on such a small scale concerns are paint damage to a floating vessel I would never leave other any other tanks or locomotives outdoors nut concerns are will Nickel tracks by peco be better to maintain. Plus on enamel paint would a Matt varnish work?

Thank you for your input it is really appreciated the pond for me is not an issue it’s the scale model aspect of things I take time to build these models and it don’t want it going to rack and ruin just wanted to make a realistic centre piece
