i prefer real stallions (hehe), but the seastallion is cool!!! i got a model of one on a carrier deck…what did you used to do on them? my dad built a 1/48 cobra of some sort, but i dont know what it was…sorry!!!

Welcome from another former squid!!! (Hospital Corpsman)

The only AH-1G that shows up is a Revell kit, but I think I built this in my 20’s and it wasn’t too bad… small seam gaps but nothing severe… it’s at www.squadron.com

BUT I just noticed Fujimi is coming out with one and my limited experience with Fujimi has been positive… they are taking pre-orders for it at www.greatmodels.com

good luck and welcome aboard!!!

Welcome to the Forums! Happy modeling!

Hi there seastallion [#welcome] to the FSM forums, enjoy your stay.

As for the Cobra you are out of luck in 1/48. About the only kit that I know of is Revell’s 1/32 thirty-year-old offering of the AH-1G Huey Cobra which was recently released under the Revell AG label. This kit is ok but will need a complete Cobra Company cockpit and some extra detailing to bring it up to scratch
