Does anyone subscribe to this & If you do how do you rate it?
I am generally happy with it, although some of the articles seem to be very “samey”. Are there any other subcription base publications that are primarily angled toward military aircraft that are any good?

I’m a subscriber to IAPR & I would rate it highly, except I didn’t enjoy waiting for nearly a year for the latest issue to finally be delievered. It wasn’t worth the wait frankly, as there weren’t any articles that really interested me, unlike most issues. If you subscribe to Squadron.com’s monthly mailings, they have a magazine section in the back which may have some magazines of interest to you.
I also have subscribed to IAPR but have wound up waiting far too long for some issues lately. Looking on the web, there seems to be some general concern about whether it’ll survive much longer, so I’m not renewing my subscription. I’ll still check the newsstands as it comes out to see if there are feature articles I’d be willing to buy a copy for, though.
Air Forces Monthly is another one that covers a lot of the same territory (and more promptly–I’m always amused about IAPR having “news” about something that happened 9 months to a year before the magazine arrived at my house). It’s more of a magazine format than the book format of IAPR. Pretty pricey–I want to say like six to eight bucks an issue?–but that’s probably about the same as IAPR, too.
