Interesting Chicago Tribune about spike in plastic modeling during pandemic

My favorite line from the article

“The basic kits feature sleek cars, planes and ships you build by breaking parts off a plastic tree, gluing them together and then painting and applying decals. The process often takes many hours to either complete or abandon in a sticky mess of adhesive collateral damage.”

It’s mainly about Revell USA also, interesting read https://www.chicagotribune.com/coronavirus/ct-coronavirus-illinois-plastic-model-kit-revell-20200504-dlehia2b5bfbnbfws4kszy5jvy-story.html

Interesting article. Thanks for posting the link.

Your favorite line is all too true.

LMAO! I graduated from twisting the parts off to chopping them off with my dad’s SAK…

It would be nice if people stick with it. I liked what the article said about instant gratification. I guess I am turning into an old fart , but it seems our society is so hooked on getting something quick and easy.
