Hello again.
Hope someone can point me to an article or give some insight to installing windsheilds and or glass. I have tried using double backed tape on the end of a pencil, different glues and my windows still look like an idiot with gluey fingers installed them. Canpoy glass I have done and was pleased with, but the windows in a bomber are giving me heart aches…

There are several methods i have used, one is to put the window in place and using the tip of a fine brush dipped in liquid poly / mek or similar touch he edge of the window with the tip of the brush and let the flue run around by capiliary action, another is use white pva glue, as this drie clear it should not show if you are careful, als i have used Future / Klear to attach windows, also there is cristal clear, i prefer this method as it is the liquid that becomes the window, run some around the opening with a cocktail stick, then roll the stick over the opening and it will form a skin across the opening, thus creating a perfectly clear window.

Here is what I do:
Coat the windows with Future, as usual.
Using your finest sanding stick, a piece of 1000 grit sandpaper, or your X-acto, remove the Future GENTLY from the edges to be glued. Its more like polishing the Future off the edges - don’t sand or scrape the plastic!
Then carefully glue it in with liquid glue (I use Tenax). The liquid glue will not effect the plastic that is coated with Future.
If there are any gaps on the outside, fill with Testor’s clear parts cement. I then sand it flush and polish it to transparency again, if it won’t remove any detail.
That makes for a nice clean transparency that is just about impossible to dislodge or pull out.
