I’m looking for some suggestions on how to modify the engine hatch/plate for 1/35 Initial/Early Tiger E kits (such as Tamiya, Acadmy, Zvezda, etc.) for variants that did not utilize the Feifel Air Filters so that they look correct without the ductwork. Most are molded to have a spot to attach the V-duct and do not have an air slit or plate to cover the slit in absence of the system.
I considered simply cutting off the “v” and leaving the rectangular attachment, but I don’t really have any good photo references to know if this is a suitable solution.
If there is no reasonable solution, does anyone know of a good replacement part?
