As i build WWII aircraft I have a few modern planes… well, recently I’ve founthis Italeri 1/72 Rafale M from the Aeronavale… The only marking option is a Preproducion Aircraft 1993, I think, the number 3 is missing in the instruction sheet, but visible in the box back, well it must be painted overall Dark Ghost Gray FS 36320… I don’t know anything about this aircraft, so I want to know if it is actually in service, how to paint the interiors, if it need special colors, because in the instruction sheet is Light Ghost Gray FS36375 for most parts, and Silver for landing gear, landing gear wells, landing gear doors (inner sides) and wheel hubs…and finally another kind of camouflage… I don’t like the overall Dark Ghost Gray camo…
I have built this same kit and I painted it Panzer Gray just for a different look. I’d recommend doing an internet search on the Rafale but the paint schemes are limited to the low vis used nowadays. Perhaps you could do it as an “export” aircraft and do a camoflage pattern, or a two tone splinter affect. The great thing I love about this hobby is I can use my imagination if I want a hypetheticl or I can completely accurize if I want as well. I hope you have fun building it. I like Italerie kits very much.

I love the green HUD on this thing.
You can paint it like an “what if” bird, with a blue/grey camo like Mirage 2000…
