It’s finally up on its wheels!
I finished painting the road wheels last night and spent a couple of hours installing them.
Next it’s decals, tracks, and all the tools.

Hey folks!
Here’s a minor update. I just installed the tracks, and added the tactical number decals to the turret. The only parts left to add are the tow cables, spare tracks, and tools. Once they’re on I can start weathering!

The model’s for a two-part weathering series. The first will appear in the October 2004 issue, and the second will appear in November.
As I mentioned, I used CMK’s cast resin zimm panels, but where they didn’t quite fit I patched things together with Aves Apoxie Putty. I textured the putty with a little putty knife from Squadron – their “Precision Putty Applicator.” It worked really well.

Thanks for the quick response, Matt. And the pictures have certainly not been repetitive. We all clamor for as many pictures as we can get. I, for one, almost always find something in a picture that clears something up, or inspires me to do something a little differently on my next model.

Good job Matthew! Nice to see a beautiful tiger kit being used right! And build and painted right. The tread sag’s one of the hardest thing to make look realistic, but thats on the nail! Please keep the pics coming!
It’s done, and here it is!
This one will appear in two issues of FSM. The first will be the October 2004 issue where I’ll show how I added the artist’s-oil wash. In the November issue I’ll cover pastel weathering and drybrushing.
