Discovery Wings is going over to the Dark Side on the 10th and becoming Discovery Military Channel. There is an interesting series called Battleground that has one part about the Battle of the Bulge. That one airs on January 18th. IT’s not just for wingie-thingies anymore!!

I have seen the weapons at war series on DVD. I think you can get them from the History channel web page.

I have noticed that they run a lot of military stuff under Modern Marvels or Battle Stations. Check online for Modern MArvels before you tape, as you are just as likely to get the history of the Tank as you are the history of toilets (an honest to goodness real episode). I again recommend TiVo. I have it and set it to automatically tape anything to do with WWII or tanks or whatever I want. Fantastic piece of equipment.

Still it wil be very sad to leave the Discovery wings channel, because I also enjoyed it sooo much.
Well, the Wings military programs will still be aired. What they are dropping is Airport, a chopper is born and other yawn inspiring titles such as “The Evolution of the Baggage Carousel” and “Airport Janitors, Unseen Heroes”

I believe “Battleground” originally aired pn PBS-if I’m right it was a VERY good show.
