Intersting that Dragon has upgraded this old classic from their Imperial range…no more buying it just for the “winterketten”—too expensive now!!!

This one’s not an upgrade…it’s an all-new tooling of the F/8 including the Winterketten Magic tracks. It’s definitely on my list of “to get” items…just have to wait a bit for the intial price frenzy to calm down and/or find a good sale. [;)]

Haven’t been over there in a while but I do know it is just now available (within the last week) cause I ordered one today from Sprue Bros…also seen 'em at GM for about the same $$$…It even comes with a PRE-FORMED wire guard for the gun sight that was rather unique for this model of StuG !!!
I picked mine up for $44 at my LHS, it was definitely a ‘must buy’ for me [Y]

Dumb question from me but keep in mind I returned to my hobby two years ago… what is ‘Imperial’ Series? I don’t think I have seen it from DML myself.

The “Imperial Series” of kits from DML were released in the '90s and all have kit #s that are in the 90xx range. The Series were all reboxes or reworkings of older molds/kits from other manufacturers in a DML box. It’s how DML got their start…when they started offering their own kits of WW2 subjects, those were identified as belonging to the '39-'45 Series and started receiving kit #s in the 60xx range which is mostly what you see/hear about today. Many of the CH “Orange Box” kits take these older Imperial Series kits and upgrade some of the parts and re-issue them for example, so they can be found in a variety of forms still floating around. HTH!

Its not out over here yet, but its deffinatly on my to buy list. Glad to here its and all new kit.
