Hi! soldat32
As you may know it comes in two virsions the AH-64A and the AH-64D Longbow.
I have them both and they are OK kits. The AH-64A looks to be a remold of the Revell 1/32 Apache kit only scaled down to 1/35. They have crew figs but they are not to good. They also have rubber tires as extra detail. They are both a good start and with some research and effert they could be made in to great kits. I hope I’ve been of help to you. Good Luck!![;)][:)]
Is IMEX the same as Kangnam? If so then there was a thread not long ago about this very topic and our own Cobrahistorian had this to say about the kit:
Per Jon’s recommendation, I picked up the 1/32 Revell kit and I plan on updating it per his references. I’ve seen his 1/32 Apache and it looks great.
Yep, Grant hit it right on the head.
Making the IMEX/Kangnam kit into something accurate is VERY difficult and time consuming. If you’re just looking to build something that looks like an Apache, it is ok, but if you’re looking for an AH-64D, go with the Hasegawa 1:48th kit, it is by far the best out there.
The Kangnam/Imex D Model is WORTHLESS and TOTALLY INACURATE.
Ok, I’ve vented…
Whew…
Thanks guys Ill skip this Imex kit.I cant believe this models retail price.
I built several monogram 1/48 and 1 1/32 Revell AH-64 when I was a kid.Now thinking about that old 1/32 kit it was rather nice!Only rant I had was the crew figures but thats no big deal.
