Im new to the Finescale family, and lately iv been having a problem with my model master enamel paints. They tend to dry glossy, and Im normaly working on desert armor. Thats not exactly the finish i need. Can somebody please tell me howto fix my paints? Thanks Everybody.
First off welcome to the forum I hope you enjoy your stay here.
Welcome, Bustedhart!
Could it be that youre not mixing the paint well enough? Perhaps the amber liquid is giving your paint that glossy look?
Welcome to FSM bustedhart.
Does sound like a mixing problem, make sure you are thoroughly mxing your paint.
See you around the Armour Forum !!!
I also think it is a mixing problem, best is to get a motorized paint stirrer.
On the Tamiya paints I have noticed that you can vary the shinyness of paints depending on how much thinner you get with the paint on the brush.
Some of my old semi-gloss paint ended up being flatter than their Flat Black, which is great for detailing and weathering on the models I do.
